For disabled and neurodivergent clients

NDIS-aligned appointments for weekly self-care tasks like washing and drying hair - especially for those who can’t manage this independently.

How much does it cost?

It costs $101.73 to deliver “Care”. This covers not just hands-on haircare, but consultation, hygiene, access considerations, and emotional labour. NDIS funds $67.56/hour for these services.

Through Chairity, I remove my 10% profit margin - bringing the cost down to $93.27, my break-even point.

Anything below that means I’m working at a loss - and the financial cost of access falls on the worker, not the system.

Care shouldn’t be extracted from the people giving it.

It only takes 4-5 clients rounding up their service to the nearest $5 to fully subsidise a Comfort Session for one NDIS client. It costs $1,300 to fund a full year of consistent access - giving someone a reliable, fixed spot in my chair each month. I aim to partner with services and businesses to secure these year-long places.

If we want affirming spaces for disabled clients to exist, we must build systems that fund them - together.
